I picked up a book the other day at my favorite thrift store.   The book is You Asked For It! Strange but true answers to 99 wacky questions by Marg Meikle.   I own nothing just want to share.

 

The average human head weighs about 7.5% of a person's body's weight.

Your head has 22 bones - the cranium, which protects the brain, has 3 bones, the face, 14 bones.

So when you get tired holding your head up high, you know why.  Its heavy!

When I read your title I was going to tell you that I haven't unscrewed my head from my body yet to weigh it. A head does weigh a bunch. Great post.
