Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Dog was Adopted

Miley Cyrus absolutely loves her new dog, Ziggy, and her relationship with her is even more special because she got her from an animal rescue center. The teen queen realizes the importance of animal shelters and she has encouraged her fans to visit a rescue and to bring home a dog in need.

"If you live in LA & looking to rescue an adorable pup like Ziggy let me know! I have an amazing rescue! So many pups in need of a mommy!" Miley tweeted on Tuesday. It's a great idea for anyone who is looking for a dog to check the local animal shelter before going to a pet store or a breeder. It's a common misconception that you can't get a "healthy" or "purebred" dog from an animal shelter. It looks like Cyrus rescued an English bulldog, the breed is generally expensive and is considered top of the line.

Miley Cyrus considers herself Ziggy's "mom" as you can see by her tweet, this adding further confusion to the media's claim that the pup was actually a gift for her beau, Liam Hemsworth. Either way, Ziggy has a new home thanks to Miley!
