A spooky phenomenon has been cropping up in different areas of the world in which people have been recording strange sounds which can't be explained. The latest examples caught on video have occurred in two separate areas of Canada.
While many of these unexplainable, strange sounds remind viewers of movie sound tracks, the latest Canada "sightings" seem to be of previously unheard of animals or unknown beings howling louder than any audio system is capable of playing back over such a wide area.
In the first video, a resident of Manitoba turns on his camcorder to catch the howling sound loudly blaring from somewhere near his remote backyard.
Unfortunately, he's so scared, he utters some profanities which can't be published here. But his dogs also yelp in plain fear.
In another video, posted here, workers in a forest area of Conklin, Alberta stop in their tracks to listen to and record the howling sounds, plainly scared out of their wits.
No doubt they would have uttered some expletives as well, were they not so plainly dumbfounded and frightened by the scary, unbelievably loud howling sounds echoing all around them.
While many unexplained videos have traditionally been of UFOs and alleged sightings of mysterious forest creatures, these new videos cropping up show clear skies and empty woods with no seeming explanation for the loud, strange sounds of howling caught on tape. It's unbelievably spooky.
Here's the video:
What do you think? Have you heard these sounds? What can they be?

May the faith and inner peace be with you all
Amen.
I heard it too!
And I didn't think anything about it until I saw all the new about it... freaking!
I'm reading the recently released "Exegesis of Philip K Dick" (it's hard to limit to description, I suggest checking out its Amazon page for a general idea of what it's about), and came across something interesting. Now, while these "sounds" might turn out to be one giant hoax, it seems like there are more than enough disparate reports that at least some of these might be legitimate. What "they" might be, I have no clue. But get a load of this:
"Man as a species now ascends to a totally new level of intelligence, such as I experienced in 2-3-74. This will permit an articulation by the ecosphere that we will hear. This has never been the case before. I am saying that we will hear the voice of the ecosphere and we will enter into dialogue with it; Dio! "The voice of the ecosphere"! "We will hear it." This is Pere Teilhard's noosphere. This is not a disembodied voice or mind but speaks for all creatures.
...
Were it to signal us we would most likely experience - or rather seem to experience - the sort of uncanny "one-way" information intrusions such as occur in Ubik. It is aware of us and our involvement in it, but we are not; thus, where it deliberately signals us we would note the signal and react appropriately but have no notion - nor even perception - what - if anything - had done the signaling. It would be as if the palpable signal came out of an invisible yet tangent - i.e., immediate - source.
...
Not only is there no way to tell what the signal (stimulus) is arising from. There isn't even a where." (p. 822-823)
There's some more, and earlier he describes it as "the ecosphere cries out in pain." Again, this isn't the entire gist of PKD's "Exegesis" (it really is broad in scope, but focuses on investigating his "2-3-74" experience), but I was just struck with coming across his description (only yesterday) coupled with the timing of the "Strange Sounds" videos.
(check out "Noosphere" and "Omega Point" on Wikipedia for a rundown of the concepts)
PKD has a unique and insightful take on it though, made more so by how he ties it in with a direct experience he had. If you get the chance, I highly recommend checking out his "Exegesis" ("The Exegesis of Philip K Dick" edited by Pamela Jackson and Jonathan Lethem) in its entirety. It's a beast (900 pages...and that's edited down from 8000!), and the above excerpt doesn't even appear until page 822 - but it is well worth it. Though his speculations are wide and varied, there is some pretty profound stuff to chew on.
And, you're right - thrilling indeed!
