True Blood will be returning for its fifth season next summer, and when the fourth season ended, Sookie was single. However, that doesn't mean the love triangle is over with the two vampires, or is it?
Season 5 spoilers
Alexander Skarsgard has revealed to TV Guide, "The feelings are still there for both Eric and Bill. The attraction is still there, but they're preoccupied, and so is she. The guys have usually tried to kill each other and now suddenly have to learn to become friends and protect each other and work together." After all, Bill and Eric are going to have to deal with the consequences of their actions in the season 4 finale—killing Nan and her human guards—so it's no surprise that they're going to have to actually team up in the fifth season. There are going to be consequences to their actions, and the only way they can get through it together. It's best for everyone involved to just take Sookie completely out of the equation so that's not a factor in any tension between the two—or at least adding to it.
Meanwhile, Sookie has her own hands full. Debbie shot Tara, and Sookie in turn killed Debbie. Debbie's parents are showing up in True Blood season 5, and Alcide's going to have to deal with them, making sure they don't find out what Sookie did. However, Sookie has something much more important on her mind: what happened to Tara. The fourth season ended with Tara seemingly dead after getting shot in the head. What does this mean for Sookie? With her best friend seemingly dead, of course she doesn't have any time or energy to use towards dealing with her love triangle.
