Yippee!!! I finally got my laptop back. It had to be sent back to the manufacture for the replacement of the hard drive. Thank goodness for warranties. It did not cost me anything out of pocket.
Unfortunately, I lost EVERYTHING!! So, I have to reinstall all the programs I had and I am willing to bet you that I have to install the Gather pic uploader before I can post this picture.
It is like getting a brand new laptop...nice but inconvienent.
Oh well...enough of the complaining. I am just so happy to have it back.
I am going to really try to bit a bit more active on Gather, but I am not sure what the next couple of months will bring. The hospital is getting a whole new computer program. Although we have been computer charting for a long time, we still have pretty large patient charts. This new program will reduce the amount of paperwork by 90%. So we are heavy duty into training. Classes are being held and they are MANDATORY. So along with working, I will be attending computer classes. We even have a 4 hour computer module that we do on-line. It can be accessed from home. I thought, "Great, I will sit out on the patio (74 degrees today) and whip this thing out."
No way!!! The entire session contains 39 modules, each with an interactive lesson, followed by a 5 question test. OMG!!! It is sooooooo boring. Whoever they chose for the narrator would make a killing selling sleep aids. It is awful. I finished 3 modules and had to give up for a while. I figure I can do a few each day and still get it done before the classes start.
So, you can see what I will be doing for the next month or so. The computer program goes live sometime in March. It's a lot to learn. But, this, too, will pass.
At least, I have my laptop back and can do all the tests at my convenience. Take a break now and then so I can Gather a bit.
Hope your day has been happy and healthy!!!

Good luck with all the computer classes at work!
I also store a few things to my e-mail address so it will be easier to access from anywhere.
As for the classes, good luck. Hubby is taking some training ones for work and he said the same thing. BORING
Love that gal jumping in the air. I can see you in my mind doing just that too. LOL Glad you are back in business. Awaiting your newest posts and columns.
I know how overjoyed I was to have mine back after having to have the keyboard replaced.
no excuses slacker, lol! *-)
A hint for computerized chart changes - good luck! My mother's healthcare system has been doing this for almost 2 years now and still hasn't got it ironed out (at least they didn't lose her specimens the last time she was in hospital).
Glad you're back in business! :o)
