Glee is currently in its third season, and Chris Colfer has revealed what Darren Criss, who plays Kurt's boyfriend Blaine, will be missing due to his stint on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
What will be without Klaine in season 3?
According to TVLine, Chris Colfer has revealed that Darren Criss won't be around for "the Ricky Martin visit and the Valentine's Day episode": "You'll find out how [Blaine] leaves for a little bit and then comes back, but it's nothing too bad or serious." So could that mean they're just going to have Blaine out sick from school or perhaps off doing something that allows for him to miss classes? It is sad news for Klaine fans that they won't get to see what their favorite couple is like on their first Valentine's Day as a couple (last season's was the one that saw Blaine taking to a serenade in the Gap to try to woo a crush), but perhaps they'll show something to make up for it after since there is going to be an explanation of why Blaine isn't around. They could also work it into a conversation in the Glee Valentine's Day episode for something that happens off-screen, depending on why he's out.
Colfer also talked about season 4: "My word is fun. I really think it's a great idea and I'm looking forward to it. It's never been done before." So what could he be talking about? Recently, it was announced that while some of the characters will be graduating at the end of the season, that doesn't mean they're leaving. Instead, now "fun" has been added to "revolutionary" to describe next year, and that just teases fans even more as they try to figure out what that means. It does seem to imply that NYADA seems to just be an unattainable dream for right after high school for Rachel and Kurt (especially with their applications), but it also leaves fans wondering what post-graduation is going to look like for Blaine and Kurt, especially with the news that Grant Gustin is supposed to be a series regular in season 4.
