Katy Perry's parents may be happy the Denver Broncos lost yesterday—now Tim Tebow has more time to look around for a nice, Christian wife. They plan to ensure that he notices their daughter, singer Katy Perry. Keith and Mary Hudson don't condone divorce, of course, reports OK magazine. Is that the reason Russell Brand actually filed for the permanent split, and not Katy, herself?
Anyway, Katy Perry's parents—both pastors—are already taking action, inviting the NFL quarterback to speak at their church, in Huntington Beach, California. They think his age, 24, is far more appropriate for Katy, 27, than the much older British husband she is in the act of shedding. And also they believe, from watching Tim play football, that he is much better husband material than Russell Brand. OK, that may be a first. Aren't football players known for violence, both on the field and sometimes domestic? Maybe not quarterbacks.
If this church occasion takes place, Katy Perry will almost certainly show up on time. Reports a friend: "She's mentioned on more than one occasion how much she likes Tim." Talk about old fashioned courtships. If this works out for the Hudsons, they will have made Hollywood history! Probably NFL history as well. Rock on!
