One of my sons bought me Photoshop Elements 10 for Christmas.

After using the free downloadable editing programs I've been using for several years I found Elements frustrating and impossible to use. I was thinking of finding a book that would tell me how to use this darn program because there is so much more I want to be able to do to my photos. Well I found Adobe TV for Elements this morning on line and I am in love with this new program. I have a long way to go and a lot to learn but just now I learned how to do this:

Here is the address of the video that helped me figure out how to get rid of the pole.

For years  since I joined Gather and became interested in digital photography modern messes in photos have always bothered me. I've tossed so many photos because of junk around what I wanted to see and things like telephone poles. I've learned to walk round an object to get a clean shot but often it was impossible. Now this is going to be fun!

 

My camera is a Canon Powershot A720IS

Years ago I used Elements to remove a zit from a photo I had taken. That's as far as I got.

I use PhotoShop 7...but there is still a lot I can't figure out... and I'm not good at reading technical manuals...I do much better when 'shown' what to do ;-)

Someone told me about the clone stamp so that was what I was looking for and found I don't need a clone stamp. This was just too easy. I just spent a few hours looking at all the videos so now I'm going to go play. I know I will have to look at them again - and I will...

Very well done. Every time I try to remove something from a photo I end up with blurry lines showing what I've done. Exceptionally done.

I just upgraded to CS5 a few months ago. The suite is incredibly powerful, beyond my imagination, but I'm learning.
