Earlier this season, Kensi from NCIS: Los Angeles stopped by Hawaii Five-0 to lend her lip-reading expertise, and now, there's going to be another crossover, but this one is going to be much bigger, across two nights, and during May sweeps.
Another NCIS: LA/H50 crossover
According to TV Guide, May sweeps is going to feature a special two-night event, as NCIS: LA and Hawaii Five-0 team up. First up is the Monday night episode, during which Callen and Sam are going to be heading to Hawaii, and then McGarrett and Danny will be heading to Los Angeles for the Tuesday episode. For such a big event, there's a big case: "the outbreak of a deadly virus that is quite possibly being used as a murder weapon." That is a major case, and it's obvious just why this is the plot for this big crossover. While NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0 seemed like an odd combination for a crossover, it did work the first time around when Kensi visited Hawaii. Will it work again when it's much more of a crossover this time? It should, and it should be very entertaining to see how these characters work together to solve the case.
Shane Brennan has said, "What we've come up with is an enormously entertaining, high-octane story that showcases the very best of both shows. It's going to be a fun ride." Meanwhile, from Hawaii Five-0's side, Peter Lenkov reveals, "Besides the obvious excitement of teaming up with an incredible show, expanding Hawaii Five-0's universe [and] teaming with NCIS: LA on a case with huge stakes, we're interested in exploring the relationship between McGarrett and Hanna, both SEALs with a little history." Now that last bit should be entertaining. It's impossible not to be excited about this, and when else to show these big episodes but during May sweeps?
Are you looking forward to the second NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0 crossover?
