I just found out something disturbing this morning. Well disturbing for me not for anyone else. It was actually a big mistake on my part.
We hired a guy about 3 months ago to look in to our real estate taxes and I wrote him a check for $250.00 out of the checking account I use for my online earnings. I could have sworn that he cashed that check a couple of days after he got it. I always call and see what checks have cleared and I write them down and everything. Apparently I thought the wrong check was his or something because he just cashed the check 2 days ago.
Now my checking account is tied to my credit card from the same bank and if I ever over draw for some reason they will just take the money out of my credit card. Well apparently when this guy cashed the check I had a whole whopping $18 in my account, and of course they took that from my credit card to pay for the check. They also charged me $12.50. This is my fault I am not blaming the bank or anything but I am sick to my stomach about it. Not only is my credit card $250 dollars more now, but now I am going to be charged cash advance interest which is a crazy amount that starts from day one, and will end up staying on my card even after I pay the $250 back as long as I have a balance. It is my business credit card and I have been floating a balance of $600.00 on there for a few years now. I always just pay down to the $600 mark. Obviously I don't have the $600 to pay it off entirely.
This of course on top of Christmas expenses and all the bills for my daughters anxiety treatments which were $3000 out of pocket so far. Except for the $600 on my business card we pay all of our bills off every month. Now on our family credit card we can not possibly pay it off for a couple of months and that's if nothing else happens.
I hate being stressed out about money.
