Amanda Knox probably dodged a bullet when she stopped seeing this guy, even if it was because they were separated while in prison for the murder of Meredith Kercher. It seems that Raffaele Sollecito and Annie Achille are far more than what some people would call "kissing cousins."
This is just bizarre, and honestly it kind of brings more questions about Raffaele Sollecito than can be asked of Amanda Knox. Incest is a wide umbrella term in this case, as some people have varying definitions for this very taboo word. Nonetheless, Sollecito is apparently deeply in love with his own cousin. Ponder on that for a while and consider the benefits of Sollecito marrying his cousin:
- He'll only have to attend one family reunion.
- Everyone in his family has already met her, and most likely love her.
- He now pretty much has an idea of what it would be like to date an even more feminine version of himself.
- After dating Amanda Knox, his family wanted him "close to home." Now they got what they asked for, and more!
Raffaele Sollecito apparently has an attraction to women who look similar. His cousin-girlfriend, Annie, does have a slight resemblance to Foxy Knoxy, but really does look like her future husband (as it's been reported and argued). Well, now there's an explanation as to why they look so similar. Could this be indicative of a sort of narcissistic love of one's self? That's probably way to heavy to speculate when the most entertaining fact of the matter has already been mentioned. But how does Amanda Knox feel about this?
Her and Raffaele Sollecito literally went through hell together. Whether or not you believe they're guilty, they certainly endured some hardships as a young couple who were split apart by an investigation, trial and conviction. Ultimately, by the time their convictions were appealed, both went along their with their own lives. It's bittersweet, and it seems that Sollecito certainly hasn't gone toward a healthy lifestyle of dating women outside of his own gene pool.
It doesn't seem like even Foxy Knoxy herself would go for something like that and she's admittedly promiscuous to the point that Italian officials had, at one time, allegedly convinced her that she'd contracted HIV/Aids. Hopefully she's really been tested since her release, because after a scare like that it seems that anyone in their right mind would want to be in the clear with a credible exam and workover by one of their home doctors. Certainly she's done all of that since she's been home, right?

My apologies.
(ps I'm well beyond a "GED", but I hear that self-projecting is an indicator of an emotional or mental disturbance.)
I have nothing BUT sympathy and heartache for Meredith Kercher and her family. I'm not "victim blaming."
But ya know.. I don't expect everyone to know the definitions of the words they use. ;)
And yah, you know what Schadenfreude means -- again it doesn't apply to Amanda Knox, because she is not the victim. Schadenfreude is when pleasure is derived from misery of others ESPECIALLY IF IT'S DESERVED -- i.e. a murderer gets the death penalty, a rapist falls off a cliff and dies, etc etc etc -- those are the things that harken schadenfreude.
Again, I don't have "schadenfreude" for the VICTIM of this case (Which is Meredith Kercher, not Knoxy)
Use google a little better -- or at least.. I dunno... READ the extended definitions and anthropological explanations of words. You might come across a little more intelligent if you did. ;)
I wonder what you call it when you call a rapist a "victim"...
I'm pretty sure there's a word for it ;)
So now you're going to cry because I'm not writing about Guede? He's serving time for HIS PART in the murder of Meredith Kercher. You remind me of the Chris Brown fans who cry when I choose to write an article about Chris Brown instead of Charlie Sheen. Guess what? Deal with it. Nobody is making you read and nobody is making you haunt every article I write about this case to insert your obsessive and misinformed posts.
However, I understand that it's not abnormal for criminals (serial killers, murderers, drug addicts etc etc etc) to gain "fans" and I'm sure if you try really hard, Amanda will make you honorary fan club captain some day ;)
p.s. -- Amanda Knox did NOT prove she was innocent; The courts just admitted to screwing up PARTS of the investigation and that there wasn't enough evidence to keep her in prison. That's not the same thing as "proving innocence."
;) Kind of like the Casey Anthony thing. There was enough doubt to let her off the hook, but enough evidence for the real world to know what happened. Same thing with Amanda Knox and her cousin-loving ex boyfriend ;)
"But the only circumstantial evidence which remains solid (consummation of the crime of calumny but without the alleged aggravating circumstance, not-totally-proven veracity of alibi, dubious reliability of witness Quintavalle) does not, even taken together, allow us to arrive at the conclusion that the culpability of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito of the crime of murder (and of the other crimes instrumental thereto) has been proven in any way. The collapse in its substance of the circumstantial evidence on which the Corte di Assise of first level based its own decision exempts us from having to propose an alternative hypothesis.
Once the presence [sussistenza] of proof of guilt concerning the current defendants has been ruled out, it is indeed not up to this Court to suggest how the events may really have unfolded, nor whether the perpetrator of the crime was one or more than one, nor whether or not other investigative hypotheses have been neglected. What is relevant for the purposes of [our] decision is only the absence of proof of guilt of the current defendants.
Whence their acquittal of the crimes alleged in Charges A,B,C, [and] D for not having committed the act, and of the crime under Charge E because the act did not take place.
—
The acquittal of the defendants of the crimes attributed to them (with the exception of the crime of calumny, of which Amanda Knox has been declared guilty) brings with it the rejection of the request made against them by the civil parties with regard to the crimes in question: Mrs. Aldalia Tattanelli and the relatives of Meredith Kercher. The incidental appeal submitted by the Public Minister, which presupposes a verdict of guilty, must likewise be rejected."
Did you get that. I'm going to repeat the salient part again so you understand what was proven TO THE COURT:
"Whence their acquittal of the crimes alleged in Charges A,B,C, [and] D for not having committed the act, and of the crime under Charge E because the act did not take place."
The Act Did Not Take Place. They did not play ANY PART in the murder of Meredith Kercher. Hellmann doesn't know who did. His job is not to determine whether Guede acted alone or with others. He is confident enough in the INNOCENCE of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito as to confer their IMMEDIATE release.
Do you get it? It was PROVEN IN COURT that they did not do the crime. Not that there's reasonable doubt. Not that the evidence was too weak to convict. Amanda and Raffaele are INNOCENT of the crime of murder. They didn't do it.
Casey Anthony was completely different but she was also correctly acquitted. In that case the prosecutor could not even prove an actual crime ever occurred.
I have no idea who Chris Brown is. Did he murder Charlie Sheen? I enjoyed his work in Platoon. Is that the same guy you're taking about?
My obsession is not with Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito. It is with injustice. I fight many cases of injustice. This is one.
Patrick. Patrick.
"I have no idea who Chris Brown is. Did he murder Charlie Sheen? I enjoyed his work in Platoon. Is that the same guy you're taking about?"
I don't even care how much we've argued. I laughed so hard at this, I fell in love w/ you a little.
(that was really, really freaking funny.)
If you really don't know.. and you're not just being funny and clever (which I still think you are)
Chris Brown is the rapper that beat up his ex-gf Rihanna in 2009, and he's always in the news doing something stupid. Anytime someone writes about Chris Brown or mentions him, he has a group of "fans" called #TeamBreezy (lol) and they go CRAZY and cuss you out and say things like:
"How come you don't write about Charlie Sheen? You must be racist."
It always boils down to "Why don't you write about what Charlie Sheen does?" -- and it's all because back in 2009 or so Chris Brown made the comment about how everyone is trying to keep him down and that people need to focus on Charlie Sheen (yes, very random, right?)
So yah..
In the spring of 2008 I was researching the crimes of Judith Anne Neelley. I thought she was about the most dangerous female murderer so far apprehended. Then I heard about the crimes of Amanda Knox.
It is completely unique for a middle-class woman who has achieve academically to the point of being accepted into a foreign exchange program, to be the ring leader in a knife attack against another woman so I immediately started looking for information.
If you read the crime analysis books by FBI profilers, John Douglas, Robert Ressler, Roy Hazelwood, or Russell Vorpagel, they explain in great detail the psychology of people who commit violent rapes, murders, burglaries and arsons. These crimes are psychologically very closely related.
The murder of Meredith Kercher had all the earmarks of an opportunity rape murder. These crimes are most frequently the acts of lone males under 30-years old with very specific backgrounds in common. It is today very easy to predict what males will develop these kinds of problem, and hopefully, in the future, we will be able to resolve most of these issues before the the abused subject ever offends.
The problem we had in Italy, especially in Perugia which is a very provincial area where crimes like the Kercher murder are completely uncommon, is that local law enforcement are not aware of modern research and are completely inexperienced at investigating these crime scenes. It is still policy for any police departments in a circumstance like this one to look first to the immediate relationships for a solution. We see this in the Jon Benet Ramsey case, the Darlie Routier case, the OJ Simpson case, even Roman Polanski was initially suspected of being involved with the murder of his wife, Sharon Tate.
In the case of Amanda Knox, police relied too much on their intuition and did no serious psychological research into that crime specifically or crimes like it in general. Had they done so they would have ruled her out as a suspect by November 5, instead of intimidating her and cooking the evidence to fit their impossible and unlikely crime theory.
By April of 2009 I was convinced that Amanda Knox and her boyfriend were completely innocent of the crime. I thought Italy was a modern country and that they would be released through the trial process. Their conviction completely ruined my Christmas 2009, and in January I began working with The Friends of Amanda Knox to overturn the conviction.
As Chelsea mentioned, FOAK was a small group of 4,851 people who contributed monthly to Amanda's defense fund. We included 48 Hours Mystery host Peter Van Sant and their investigator, Paul Ciolino who coined the phrase in reference to Amanda Knox conviction: "The railroad job from hell." Also among us was former FBI special agent, Steve Moore, who wrote an extensive analysis of the crime scene and his wife, Michelle, a constant voice on the internet, forensic engineer, Ron Hendry, who's analysis of the break-in proved conclusively that someone had broken into the cottage and it was not "staged" as maintained by the prosecutor. Genetic scientists, Mark Waterbury, who wrote a book on the errors of the DNA analysis in this case, and Greg Hampikian of the Idaho Innocence Project who was able to demonstrate on television how those error occurred. Out in front of the protest against Amanda's conviction was best-selling author, Douglas Preston, who had first hand experience with the corruption in the Italian legal system that tends to cover up high profile murderers' crimes. He and his co-author, Italian journalist, Mario Spezi, had first-hand experience of the methods of prosecutor, Giuliano Mignini. They both had plenty of incentive to recognize Amanda's innocence and to want to stop Mignini's reign of terror in Florence and Perugia.
When the Italian appeal court ordered the DNA retested and the crime scene re-examined, all these investigators were proven to be correct.
I do feel great compassion for the Kercher family. I think Rudy Guede should be tried for the crime he actually committed and sentenced appropriately.
The only relationship Amanda Knox had to this crime is that she rented the room next door to the victim. She was clearly not home that night and had she been she would likely also have been murdered. All the physical evidence proves this. There was no evidence of Knox or Sollecito in the room where the crime occurred.
Personally, I have nothing to do with a PR firm. I am just a person interested in crime and especially in prosecutorial errors and misconduct resulting in unjust convictions. I am currently working to get a new trial for Darlie Routier, erroneously convicted in the stabbing death of her son. No one pays me. In fact I contribute my own funds to help people I feel need my support.
Seems to me like you (Rita Kemezin) are pondering on that topic. Not me.
I don't care how many people Knox slept with. Being a c**dumpster doesn't make someone a murderer. It just makes them a c** dumpster. That's not illegal. ;)
