Grey's Anatomy season 8 has seen plenty of drama for Owen and Cristina's relationship, and spoilers have revealed that they'll be seeking some professional help soon. That's definitely something they need to do, considering what they've been through.
Grey's spoilers about Owen & Cristina's relationship
According to TVLine, they're going to be going to therapy with everything that has happened lately. However, Shonda Rhimes has also said, "It's not in the way anybody thinks." Now what could that mean? However they end up in therapy, it does seem about time, considering the season began with Cristina getting an abortion, which Owen didn't agree with but stood by her side for, and there's no way that's not going to be mentioned. That aside, just the recent events are bad enough for their marriage. Owen lied to Cristina about Henry, and then Cristina ended up being the one to tell Teddy her husband died because Owen sent her into surgery with her. Cristina was put in quite the tough place with just that, and it's bound to have some effect on their relationship.
It hasn't been an easy journey for Owen and Cristina on Grey's Anatomy, but could therapy be what their relationship needs? Could getting everything out in the open be enough to get them on the right track? How much is too much before something happens that leads their relationship to a place they can't recover from? It had been nice to see them happy, but this being Grey's, it's not surprising it hasn't lasted long. Will that chance after they see a therapist, however that ends up being?
