Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, always looks right, and her style process appears effortless. But it isn't quite that easy. Nothing ever is. Kate has worked with a Hollywood stylist, who calls the duchess "a joy" to dress. Nikki Pennie loves the way Kate can wear all kinds of clothes.
"She was one of the people who I would put her outfits together from Issa. She's amazing; she's wonderful," Nikki said in a recent interview. She especially loves the way the duchess is making more affordable, British high street brands p
opular.
"This trend is here to stay... We shop at the high street stores. You can see a dress that Kate Middleton or Pippa wears and you can go the next day to Warehouse or to Topshop and buy that dress and it's probably under $200," she said. This is what women want.
Times have changed, and people change with them. Dressing as if you spent all the money in the world no longer looks appropriate, even on the red carpet. "It's all about accessible clothing and things that people can actually go and buy and it doesn't matter how much a dress costs as long as you look good and you feel great. It used to not be cool for a celebrity to wear Topshop on the red carpet and now it's the thing to do."
