James Franco is publishing his first novel through Amazon.
The famed actor of the film "Milk", Franco's new novel will be titled "Actors Anonymous," and is based on his life as an actor. This may be a bit tricky. Readers won't know exactly what parts of the novel is based on his life and what's fiction. They may finish the book thinking some of it is life, when it was fiction. Hopefully, this won't create any problems for him down the road.
This is not James Franco's first book. He also wrote a collection of short stories titled "Palo Alto," which was released amid mixed reviews in October 2010. While some critics blasted his first literary attempt, others stated it was a promising start. Most likely, his name helped to sell some books. Had it been published under an unknown name, it would not have done as well.
Franco loves to try his hand at various outlets and seems like an intelligent guy. He is famous for his acting; and in addition to his writing, he as also created dance theatre projects, directed, curated art exhibits and continues to attend various universities. No one can say he isn't trying to keep busy.
