It's January 1, 2012 and you wake up in a strange bed with a raging headache.
Did you ring in the new year with:
a) Lady GaGa
b) Jeanne Clarke
c) an armadillo (oh, come on, you know you like it)
d) two goldfish and a vampire
e) Tom Selleck
f) Antonio Banderas (that's for you, Ann C.)
And did it involve:
1) jail
2) Walmart
3) the post office
4) Red Lobster
5) a streetcar named Desire?
Now, some of you cheat (er, get creative) and throw everything into your posts, but I really do challenge you to pick ONLY ONE item from the first list and ONLY ONE item from the second list to tell me about your festivities.
===================================
A stabbing pain lands behind my right eye. Wrenching myself up, with the
ledge above me, I find that I can only slouch against the wall; I am half
buried in an indoor flowerbed. Pulling my legs into my chest; I wrestle with
my inner ear and stomach. Pulling myself up I peer through the view port
above the ledge. A streetcar emblazoned with the word “Desire” and a driver
that may be Tom Selleck floats past; revealing the void of space and the sun’s
corona growing larger.
I begin to put together a story for the missus.

I have been TRRYYYYYING unsuccessfully to accept this into the group (many many error pages) so maybe the missus is on to you.
When I get the story together, you'll see it.
Not promising it will be here though.
Thank you Tracy

Great write, Orbus!
Actually don't do that.
Thanks Toni
Yes I do know your enjoying summer. I got a reminder of that when I participated in a logo contest on 99designs for the Wilston Winter Magic fair. (A merchant fair in a suburb of Brisbane) that happens in June (your winter). I didn't win, I dropped it for a better commission.
Thanks for reading Marianne
I live just an hours drive south of Sydney, the most beautiful place along the South Coast( okay, I'm biased). Our Summer has eluded us but for a few heatwaves. And I'm escaping June to spend Summer in Germany!!
I bet you would have won that contest :)
Thank you Liz
