Show Me Love

I like to rent movies sometimes according to the season. Around Thanksgiving I started renting movies (through Netflix) that have to do with Christmas. This time of year I go towards movies that have to do with Valentine's Day. Or just love stories, a lot of romantic comedies. I would like suggestions from everyone. Granted I've seen a lot of movies so I may have already seen your suggestions, but I'd like them anyway. Just one thing: I'd prefer the movies not to end badly. If the character dies, don't suggest it! LOL I mean the last thing I want to do is watch something like The Notebook. Great movie, sweet story, but if you know my family history the last thing I want to do is watch a movie about a man who loves his wife even though she has lost her mind to dementia.

Any suggestions? And since I grew up on old movies, feel free to mention those as well.

I watched Send me no flowers, with Doris Day, New Years Eve, a GREAT old movie, I just love all of hers.

My brain is not working well today, can't think of any. So, I will suggest one of my all-time favorite movies with Debbie Reynolds, 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown'. I always enjoy it every time I see it.

A timeless love story, is Love Story with Ryan Oneal and Ali McGraw I think that's how you spell her name. Wonderful movie.

We watched Super 8 for the first time last night. It was pretty good. We're going to watch Soul Surfer tonight.

Old one, favorite for me, Somewhere in Time. The critics hated it. I loved the scenery and the Rachmaninoff music and the Victorian clothing. It is about time travel and romance. I am sorry, i do not remember the ending, but I do not think it was sad.

my favorite christmas move is Smokey Mountain christmas with Dolly Parton and Lee Majors. I only like the orginal Rudolph and Frosty the snowman and santa claus is coming to town.

I still think you should try to get the German/Austrian "Sissi" movies!
They are hard to find, but DVDs exist in the USA.
