Hello! I was wondering if anyone ever bought anything from the online cosmetic franchise E.L.F (Eyes Lips Face)?
I recently bought some makeup (brushes, tweezer, brush holder, and makeup pencil sharpner too) from them for the first time. Problem is, the foundation color I picked is WAY too dark, and they don't do returns for that reason because of their super cheap prices. So I have to wait until I have more stuff I need to buy from them before I can try a lighter shade (don't want to pay 6 bucks in shipping for 1 item, no matter how cheap it is!). So I can't really critique this product fairly until I get a better color.
I put in a second order for some lip gloss, eyeshadow primer, a lip lock pencil (honestly I don't have high hopes for this but it was only 3 bucks so I thought I'd try it). And with all this I also got a free "mini makeup collection" that has eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, lip gloss, a few brushes, etc. I haven't gotten this stuff yet, but when I do I'll let you guys know how it is.
I think with my next order, if I like the eyeshadow in the free mini collection, I'll get some more and then I can get new foundation.
So, have any of you ever bought from ELF? Which are your favorite/least favorite products?

I have an idea for the foundation thats too dark, use it as an eyeliner when you want to be understated. Sometimes that works. I only use Bare Minerals, its the only one that won't make my skin break out.
Can you get your $$ back for the darker foundation? I always try to find something I can use stuff for if it turns out to look too different in natural light. Mostly I save it for halloween and who knows what I dream up then.
They only allow returns if you get a different product from what you ordered, or if your product(s) are broken. They say due to their cheap prices, they will not except returns for matters such as wrong color.
But it isn't TOO bad. I just use a small amount of the foundation, and then I use some lighter powder to help lighten it up. But I still hope that it will work better once I get a lighter color.
How do you mix the dark and light foundations? Do you only mix a littl ebit together when you use it, or do you mix it all together at once?

And I just bought more stuff from ELF. Lol! I bought some eyeshadow, lip gloss, and a foundation that is a shade lighter than I need (it's the lightest shade they have). I should be getting this stuff right around the time when school starts, so no time for mistakes! Hopefully it'll work! :)
It took ELF 4 days to process and ship my latest order >.> The first order only took 1 day and the 2nd only took 2 days. I'm very confused because my latest order is smaller than the first order. I was hoping to get the stuff before school started, now with the delay I don't know if I will! :(
I use Bare Minerals, but it doesn't not really give me the coverage I want. And I have slightly larger pores, and it doesn't help make them look smaller. But a couple of the ELF products really help with that, so I'm happy!

I like the mineral eyeshadows I ordered, but they are very light so you do have to use a few layers. The lip stick is just so-so, I probably won't buy anymore, but I won't have any problem using the 2 I got up. I like the lip glosses a little better than the lip stick, I may or may not buy more later on.
But the two products that I love and will continue to buy is the liquid foundation, and the Translucent Powder. I think just those two alone get the job done. I may or may not get the Clarifying Pressed Powder because it helps with oil control.
