Lady Gaga and her mystery man from The Vampire Diaries, Taylor Kinney, may be taking their romance to the next level with the "Marry the Night" singer even reportedly scouting out potential properties in his Pennsylvania hometown. But just what's the real story behind Gaga's rumored boyfriend, this 5'11" hunk who has seemingly ensnared and managed to keep her attention?
Celebuzz has uncovered a few little-known, juicy tidbits about the Vampire star. Because, after all, handsome as he might be, there is no denying that he and Gaga are a bit of an odd couple. First off, Kinney might not go gallivanting around in raw meat or rock the same outrageous fashion of Lady Gaga, but he still packs a bit of an edge. Never mind that it's not all that favorable of one. In 2002, he was arrested and cited with swearing and public intoxication. At least the crime wasn't too bad, as crimes go, that is.
Nevertheless, he's still managed to recover from that snafu and snag his fair share of television roles. His turn as the werewolf Mason Lockwood on the CW's The Vampire Diaries may be his hottest so far, but he's also shown up on other drama-packed sets the likes of Rizzoli & Isles, CSI: NY and Trauma. His grand acting debut came in 2006 for the telenovela series, Fashion House. He played Bo Derek's son.
As for how this still relatively unknown TV actor crossed paths, not to mention finagled a romantic relationship, with a pop superstar sensation like Lady Gaga? Well he was lucky enough to land the spot as the "Gaga Lover" character in her music video for "You and I." And it seems like sparks definitely flew during that shoot. Perhaps it was his slightly scruffy profile, mixed with a bit of a bad boy vibe and a touch of heart-throb status. Love at first sight? Maybe, maybe not.
