Is snuck a word? Ask Conan O'Brien. It is a word and so Jennifer Garner found out. In an interview, Conan used the past participle of seek which is snuck. Garner rudely corrected Conan O'Brien in this video.

He did what I would have done: he got out the dictionary. She was really rude and out of place, but puckered up her lips and snuck off stage as soon as possible after O'Brien rudely laughed in her pretty snookered face! Go Conan!

excuse me, but "snuck" is in Webster's, only because people have been using it for so long -- even so, it was rude to correct Conan
Webster's also has "nucular" because President Truman couldn't pronounce "nuclear"
-- the past tense of "seek" (see your post) is sought -- the past tense of sneek is sneaked

One of my journalism professors said her daughter used the word and that she corrected her daughter.

It is a word, but it sounds awful I always try for a substitute and not because of that professor.

I had to check, and this is what my little dictionary says- As a past tense and a past participle, "snuck" is especially frequent in fiction, in journalism, and on television, whereas "sneaked" is more likely in formal speech and writing. "Snuck" has occasionally been considered nonstandard, but is now so common that it can no longer be so regarded.

As a writer, I stick with the real words. Snuck is in the dictionary merely because so many people use it. Sneaked is still the preferred form of the verb.

I snuck out of the house last night sounds like a word to me. But, my spell check is telling me that snuck is spelled wrong LOL
