Did You Have a Nice Christmas?

We had a very nice Christmas.  It was nice to have a few days with no stress after being so stressed out lately.  My sister came to visit from Texas a few days ago and we had a nice a nice time with her and her family and today we went to my sister in law's house and had a great meal and a good time.

The only thing that would have made this day better would have been if the Bears beat the Packers but we kind of knew that wasn't going to happen but things looked hopeful in the first quarter but by the third quarter things were not looking so great so we went home and didn't watch the end of the game.

It is 11:16 and all the kids are wired and not one bit ready for bed.  The house is totally trashed and I fear I will spend all day tomorrow cleaning, but for now I am just going to appreciate the very nice few days we have had.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well.

just glad its over, small and quiet, didn't go anywhere, made Chicken Marsala for dinner we focused on the kids.

Glad your Christmas was so pleasant. My oldest daughter was not able to share Christmas with us for the second year. Last year she was in the Middle East, this year she is sharing Christmas with a young man she met over seas. He lives in England and so that is where she is this year. My thoughts go to what makes Christmas special for me is the essence of what the season is all about, love. When our children, parents, aunts uncles cousins and friends are with us even if it is just in our hearts and if we can feel their love especially in this time of year then it doesn't get any better than that. Merry Christmas even if it's belated.

yes I got to say this was the first really nice, guilt free and truly wonderful Christmas of my life. thats what I got to get almost 50 for, LOL. Spent it with my husband and without family which was great. No emotional abuse no feeling as if I was walking on a tightrope without a security net.....etc etc.
