Kristen Stewart not in 'Twilight?'

Can you imagine the "Twilight" Series without Kristen Stewart? Well it almost happened. It seems that Michelle Trachtenberg was offered the part first. In fact, she was in talks with the producers, but they went with Kristen Stewart.

Would "Twilgiht" have been as popular without Stewart? It is unlikely. The reason the "Twilight" series was so successful was not so much the plot as the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

It may not have worked with Michelle Trachtenberg, so I am glad that Kristen Stewart got the part, and she and Robert Pattinson have won the hearts of so many movie goers.
