Okay.. I am going to prepare a cheesecake to take with me to Christmas dinner at my sister's this year.. However.. I do not have a true tested recipe. I referred to Paula Deen's website and came up with one that should taste good.. but...
You know... just b/c it's online does not necessarily mean it tastes awesome!
I would like to make a cheesecake with a graham cracker crust... (and I know I can prepare the crust w/o a recipe!) :)
This is what I have come up with based on the recipes I have viewed online at various sites:
3 bricks cream cheese.. softened (like room temp)
1/4 c sugar
beat cream cheese til smooth; beat in sugar and vanilla, then stir in eggs until well blended.
Pour into prepared crust; bake in a preheated 350 degree (Farenheit) oven... (place the pie on a cookie sheet before placing it in the oven to catch any potential spill over.)
cook for 45 min.
Remove from oven.. let cool to room temp, then place in refrigerator over night.
So, what do you think? I saw some recipes that added pieces of lemon rind too... Do you add that to yours?
Any suggestions or a website that hosts your fave cheesecake recipe? I am going shopping Thursday evening for the needed ingredients! thank you!
