Ayla Reynolds Update: Parental Kidnapping...

New details in the Ayla Reynolds case are coming through and with these new details, the speculation is rising. It appears that there may be reason to believe the mother of the missing child could have a motive behind the girl's disappearance.

It's not really fair to assume immediately that the mother of Ayla Reynolds is responsible for the child's alleged abduction. It appears that the woman wasn't really around when this happened. Detectives on the case have released already that neither parent is suspected. Both of them are complying with the searches and investigations.

However, recent evidence is causing people to speculate on the possibility that Trista Reynolds could be behind the disappearance of baby Ayla. It's apparent that the woman filed for full custody just a day before her alleged abduction. Yes, that does seem suspicious. Also, it was previously reported that the child was removed from Trista's custody in October, though the reasons why haven't been released.

While speculations are on the rise, the important thing to remember is that this child is still missing. She is officially missing, and the rest is just speculation. There is not enough evidence to speculate on the parents at this time. However, more details will surely arise, just like what happened in the disappearance of Lisa Irwin. More about the parents will obviously be revealed until this child is found safely it's found out if she was abducted and by whom.

thanx for the update. I agree with you. This is tragic. Regardless of what has happened to this child, she needs to be found and her safety confirmed. Of course, parental kidnapping in no way assumes a child is safe.

Actually Chelsea the police seem to be leaning towards the father having something to do with her disappearance. Two vehicles where towed to police crime labs and the house was searched top to bottom. The mother lives in Portland Maine and the father in Waterville Maine. There were several people in the home at the time Ayla disapeared. Most were family members of the fathers. It is entirely possible he found out somehow that Trista was attemping to gain sole custody of Ayla. Portland is about 75 miles away from Waterville and since Trista did not know this home her ex had just moved into it seems highly unlikely she is involved.

although speculatively possible @janice p., police have publicly stated that both parents are being cooperative and neither are suspects at this time.

Yes I live near to where the father does. The news tonight stated they are searching the home of the father attic cellar and surrounding areas also had two cars at that home towed for forensic testing. Air searches by the game wardens and forrestry service also. I can say without a doubt that if she happened to get outside somehow and no one took her in there is little to no chance she is alive. It has been below freezing here for several days. And since there were other family members there there is little to no chance he flipped out in a rage and harmed her. More likely in my opinion he found out through friends she had spoken to about the court filing and decided to hide her somewhere safe. As I said not too likely she found a ride in the middle of the night to go to a home she didn't know as he just moved there in the past few weeks to steal a baby she was petitioning for custodial rights to anyways.
