As the Veena Malik photo scandal seems to have settled down a bit, the latest news involves the actress and model's big "missing in Mumbai" story. Recently, Miss Malik revealed to one source she had broken up with her boyfriend, and was hiding out.
That's right, Veena Malik, star of the nude FHM India scandal, was reported missing by various sources just days ago. Some were concerned, while others dismissed it as a stunt. Then she was found, and everyone felt as if they had been scammed by another Veena publicity stunt. Reports surfaced that she was just hiding out at a hotel in Mumbai, because all of the stress from the media frenzy had overwhelmed her.
Well now, it's being reported by Geo News that Veena Malik may have had other motives for staying locked in a hotel room, out of sight. Apparently, she had broken up with now former boyfriend Ashmit Patel, and told Geo News this via BlackBerry. Malik said after they broke up, she left Patel's home, went to the hotel and hid from the public. Maybe she was bawling her eyes out, watching sad movies on television, and drowning her sorrows in a huge carton of ice cream? It's possible!
Either way, the good news is Veena Malik is doing ok, as she told Geo News "It was difficult to get over, but I'm fine now." Well, she may be fine after the breakup, but the media attention is likely to continue. That's not to mention the fact she has a public image to worry about, being disowned by her dad, and plenty of other issues. Is Veena Malik really "fine now"?
