Kobe Bryant is about to be a single man. His wife Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce today claiming that he cheats on her too much. This is starting to be a trend in professional athletes. Tiger Woods is one of the famous divorce cases in recent years for the same reason.
Vanessa cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce on paper, but that is not the story that TMZ is telling about the cause of this split. If you remember in the year 2003, he got in trouble for sexual assault on a woman. It does not sound like he learned his lesson about staying faithful.
The couple was married for 10 1/2 years. A source is reporting that Kobe wants to win her back and hopes he can fix the marriage. After actually filing for divorce, it is going to be difficult for Kobe Bryant to convince her to take him back.
She is asking for spousal support, but so far Kobe is not arguing this at all. He says that he will pay it to her. Maybe he is trying to stay in her good graces or realizes that he won't win the fight.
