It Happened to Me
Here is a story for Alison, Niah, Lena or anyone interested.
Here we are Dec. 16th, 2011 "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever." I remember on this day a number of years ago when my wife and I were struggling financially, and had just prayed that God would provide us with money before Christmas. I had no idea how He could do it.
My wife reminded me that God can make a way for us even through the desert. It sure felt like a desert at the time. She believed that I could get sewing machine repair calls, even this close to Christmas. I wondered who would spend money to have repair work done so close to the holiday.
After just praying, the phone rang and there on the other end was the Owner of Jamestown Royal Manufacturing, in Jamestown, N.Y. He said his folks were on Christmas vacation and he heard that I repaired sewing machines, and could I come and service all 17 of them as soon as possible during the break.
I told him I would be there in the morning. Then I thanked him for caling and hung up the phone. The only thing left to do was to fall into my wife's arms and both of us praised our God and thanked Him for hearing and answering this unusual prayer with His unique answer!
**********
Go ahead and tell everyone you know my story. It is one of hundreds that I have experienced. God is so good, but He answers when we call on Him. The answer to our prayer and need was COMING, but He was waiting for us to ASK. Ask, Seek, Find, God knows what He is doing - Let Him do it His way - it's the best.

Your thinking, for crying out loud, it's only $5. I know that, but to think God stopped all of the machinery in Heaven and came down to give me a five. LOL Later I was joking with my wife and said. " I should have asked for a twenty. Smiles :-}
Cheers, Don
On Sunday at a church we once attended, someone rolled up a hundred and some twenties around one of my business cards and put it in the offering plate.
Monday the pastor handed me the $160 I needed. I was Shocked and Surprised, but mostly thankful.
