Government Shutdown Looms!

A government shutdown looms over the United States and each party including the Obama administration is pointing the fickle finger of fate. Can the government go on spending like drunken sailors. (No offense to drunken sailors.)

If there is a shutdown, this will be the third in a little over 10 years. Spending must be cut, but the cuts have to start at the top. How about the government offices of the President, Senate and House of Representatives take a cut? Let them feel some of the heat that the people on main street have been feeling.

Do away with funding of foreign countries and pork barrel legislation. Fund the government! It is a must. If the government isn't funded, about 600,000 Americans will not get paid.

This is ridiculous. Vote them all out off office. Let's have a voluntary government that runs as a non-profit organization.

President Obama is saying the funding must come before Christmas break, and this time I must agree with O'Scrooge!

That's one of the big problems with the nature of our money. Governments can, indeed, go on spending like drunken sailors and destroy the basic economy while doing so. Money is very dangerous, just like fire. It is only when money (and fire) are used very carefully that they produce more good consequences than bad.
