Comedic actor Ben Stiller has promised to use the funds raised from The Stiller Foundation to build eight new schools in Haiti.
The Stiller Foundation was founded as a result of the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010. The actor, like many other celebs, have given much to help in rebuilding country through benefits and auctions.
His decision to commit to the development of schools not only helps children in the present, but it enables them to get a proper education that prepares them for the future. This enables all children to have a stable learning environment to build the necessary skills that cultivates leadership to guide other future generations.
Contact Music reports that on during his visit to Haiti on December 10, he officially announced that he signed off on a joint venture with local telecoms bosses to construct the new education facilities.
In a Twitter post on Saturday, Stiller writes, "Great day in Haiti. Signed an agreement with Digicel Foundation to build 8 schools."
Other celebrities including reality television star Kim Kardashian, actress Patricia
Arquette, designer Donna Karan, singer Shakira, actress Nicole Kidman and many
more have donated money to Haiti relief.
