Haven't seen too many postings about the NBA Lockout. Maybe, it's because I've been gone for a couple of days.
I want to pose a question to my Gather friends. Do you think the NBA lockout was pure greed or a breakdown in communication or both???
I tend to think it was pure greed on the behalf of the players. Think about it. They have a sweet contract for said amount of moolah and they are still not happy????
Greed in the purest sense of the word, my Gather friends!!! How many of you are still going to watch your NBA team, play???

I didn't miss basketball that much. Although I like it, NFL and MLB are my favorites.
Love the NFL, too!!
I don't count, I wouldn't watch or buy anything involving sports so I don't support them.
When you find out sometimes what the owners pay in any company or corporations.. to the people who actually do the "hard" work... compared to those who attend meetings and make decisions, it can hurt.
We see them making big bucks... but even bigger bucks a being made. The price we pay for tickets...etc... is not just going to the players....
When you consider greed, realize the owners have their own greed going here and their eye is on how much they can make... and how they can keep their costs to make that money down. ... their greed has more to do with the price of the tickets.
Just like the salaries of actors seem high, when you look at the money the studios make off of them... it's amazing... yes the studios take the gamble, but without the big "name" actor... the movie won't have the same draw...
