Nicki Minaj is among the latest announced performers for "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve" special. She'll join a musical lineup already featuring Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
It could be one wild New Year's Eve to bring in 2012. According to MTV's report, the latest ABC show will feature performances in New York's Times Square with the likes of LMFAO, Pitbull, Gaga, and Bieber. There will also be a Los Angeles portion of performances including Taio Cruz, Gym Class Heroes, Blink-182, and OneRepublic. So far, NYC sounds just a bit crazier, and especially so if Nicki's in that lineup!
As of this report, MTV has apparently included Nicki in both New York and Los Angeles, so it's unknown whether she'll somehow show up for both locations, or what will happen. It would be rather interesting to see her in NYC and could open the possibility for performance with either Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga. It could also open up the possibility for a midnight kiss with one or the other. While it seems plenty could be a surprise, so far the general material of her performance is known. Vibe.com is reporting that she will perform music from her "Pink Friday" album, although she has a recent release called "Roman in Moscow" which could make an (unusual) appearance.
With the late night aspect of this performance, it seems like a much more appropriate time for a Nicki Minaj wardrobe malfunction. She previously suffered one during another ABC performance on "Good Morning America." The latest New Year's special will be hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest, along with female co-hosts Fergie and Jenny McCarthy. ABC producers, please keep Nicki away from Dick Clark!
Will you be watching the "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve" special this New Year's Eve, or prefer a different show to see the ball drop?
