Teen Mom Jenelle Evans says she's working hard to change her life. She desperately wants custody of her son Jace back. Jace is presently in the custody of Jenelle's mom, Barbara Evans, while the Teen Mom fights a battle with marijuana addiction.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Jenelle feels like she's making strides toward being the kind of mother that Jace needs and deserves.
"I'm doing everything in the right direction," Jenelle says. "I've learned how to control my anger."
The Teen Mom hasn't made completely good choices in recent weeks, however. When her ex-boyfriend Kieffer Delp was released from prison and before he went to serve a sentence at a county jail, it is reported that the two spent some time together. Rumors of a reconciliation ran rampant. Kieffer Delp is a huge part of the reason Jenelle Evans got into smoking pot in the first pla
ce, and it was in his company that she was arrested for possession, too. Hopefully she can steer clear of Delp once he gets out of jail this time. He isn't a good influence on Jenelle and isn't the kind of person that 2-year-old Jace should be around.
Jenelle Evans and her mom don't see eye to eye, and Barbara Evans isn't sure that her daughter is ready to take custody of Jace.
"Jenelle continues to struggle with motherhood," Barbara says.
Jenelle says her mom is simply not ready to give Jace up.
"She's just really scared of me getting custody back, because I'm so close," Jenelle Evans says. "She's going to do anything in her power for me not to get him back."
That doesn't really sound like it's completely true, however. Barbara Evans can plainly see that her daughter still has some issues to work through, and she not only wants what's best for her, but what's best for her grandson as well.
"I can never give up on my daughter, and it's important to me that Jace has a close relationship with his mom," Barbara says.
