OH the drama, and this just MIGHT get fun (in a sordid D.C. kinda way, if it's not over) ...
Nancy Pelosi reminded us all that Gingrich was slapped with a $300,000 ethics violation by the House in the 1990s.
So, Gingrich's response was to threaten to bring her up on charges for doing that. â€œThatâ€™s a fundamental violation of the rules of the House and I would hope that members would immediately file charges against her the second she does it.â€ (If she reveals the records that tell all what he did wrong, he wants that kept secret.)
And so Pelosi sent TPM (TPM is a website - Talking Points Memo) a link to the public files on the Gingrich ethics case and she informed Gingrich that she doesnâ€™t need to breach the confidentiality of the ethics committee chamber to embarrass him.
Pelosi: â€œOne of these days weâ€™ll have a conversation about Newt Gingrich. I know a lot about him. I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff.â€
