'The Walking Dead' Season 2 Episodes 8-13 Spoilers: Is Farm Life Over?

The Walking Dead season 2 continues on February 12 with episode 8, "Nebraska," and it's going to pick up right where episode 7, "Pretty Much Dead Already," the midseason finale, left off. The survivors have just killed all the barn walkers, including Sophia. What's next?

When asked by TV Fanatic if the events of the midseason finale mean "the end of farm life" for the survivors, Norman Reedus said, "I think it's kaput, yes." Both sides have their reasons for wanting this group off the farm. As clips from "Nebraska" have shown, Shane's adamant that Hershel and the others knew Sophia was in the barn, though the veterinarian insists it was Otis' job before he died to bring in the walkers. It is very possible that Otis just never got a chance to tell them he had found a young girl. At the same time, you can understand where Shane is coming from. This was their barn of walkers. How did they not realize they had a young girl in there? It's obviously going to divide the camp, and tensions are even higher between Rick and Shane in the clips that have been released from the next episode of The Walking Dead.

Meanwhile, sneak peeks also show that Hershel's ready to have them off his farm. He had told them he wanted them moving on once they found Sophia, and now that they have—albeit, not in the way they wanted—and after they essentially murdered his family and friends before his eyes (at least that's how he saw it), he's ready to kick them out. Will Rick be able to try to find a way for them to stay? It's not safe for a pregnant Lori to be on the run, and though he's just a veterinarian, Hershel is the only medical doctor they have right now. Whether or not they stay on the farm doesn't matter though, since Hershel's going to go missing, and based on "Nebraska" clips and photos, Rick and Glenn will find him. Will Rick be able to convince him there's still hope and a reason to keep going (and perhaps to let them stay on the farm a bit longer)?
