A couple of farmers in India used scare tactics to get what they wanted at a tax office. Imagine typing away at a cubicle when all of a sudden the office is overrun with snakes! That was the scene in Basti, India this week.
The Horrific Scene
Approximately 40 reptiles of various breeds were released in the office. Reports from Emirates 24/7 claim the snakes climbed tables and chairs as employees ran from the room shouting for someone to kill the beasts. The farmers simply wanted tax documents regarding their land. Supposedly the tax officials demanded bribes before they would hand over the paperwork.
Did The Scare Tactic Work?
Some people hire a lawyer, while others turn to snakes. After all, who would say "no" to a cobra hissing at your heels? Unfortunately the news reports don't mention the outcome. Did the farmers get the paperwork during the chaotic scene?
Luckily none of the employees were injured. But, they can say they experienced a true nightmare. Police and forest officials captured the creatures and the two farmers are on the run.
