The upcoming season of the Bachelor is just wrapping up the last few episodes and it is set to air in early January. This season's chosen man is Ben Flajnik, the runner-up for last season where Ashley chose J.P. Rosenbaum, leaving Ben flustered. He was convinced he had won her heart, but when offered the chance to find love on his own terms on the upcoming season, he jumped at the chance.
Ben won the hearts of many viewers, but some were disappointed with the network's choice. Wet Paint has put together a list of reasons why Ben is not the ideal choice for finding love on reality television. See if you agree with any of the reasons.
- Ben Flajnik is too "reserved" for the journey, often coming off as boring. He is being compared to Emily Maynard, who was on Brad Womack's season of the Bachelor. It could end up being a boring season to watch, unless Ben opens up a bit more and has fun with the process
- Some don't think that Ben Flajnik is a hot choice for the newest main man, but others argue that he doesn't need the reality show to find love. Although the arguments for both arguments are at different ends of the spectrum, they have the same conclusion; the show is not for Ben
- Reusing a failed Bachelorette contestant is not desirable for some viewers. People want to see fresh meat, instead of someone else's leftovers. ABC argues that these dumped contestants are "familiar with the process" and knows how the entire concept works. Ahem, after so many seasons of the show, any one applying to the show has either seen it or knows someone who has seen it, so they can quickly be filled in. That's just a bad excuse.
Are you satisfied with Ben Flajnik? Will you be watching the upcoming season of the Bachelor?
