I didn't see one advertisement online or on TV for "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving," as I would've put this on my calendar as a must-see. Instead, after I woke from my nap (turkey never put me to sleep, but brisket did!), I caught only the last half hour. But it was enough to catch a glimpse of the very human side of Lady Gaga, who broke down after Katie Couric asked her about her parents. "This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers .... Lady Gaga as a high school student still bruised by being excluded from the party," says Couric. Included in the Special was a duet with Tony Bennett, and her rendition of "White Christmas."
Plus, it was a very toned-down Lady Gaga~no meat dresses, crazy head gear, or penis-heeled shoes. She did sport green hair with her duet with Bennett, as they sang "The Lady is a Tramp." For the most part, she looked quite elegant, and her performances were moving~she sings with tremendous passion. Plus, along with her incredible vocals, she's a helluva piano player! I'm sorry I missed this, and hope to catch it online~here's a snippet below..
