Justin Bieber has revealed that he planned Selena Gomez' Titanic date because they were fighting.
There have been tons of rumors about a Justin and Selena breakup, but little evidence that the couple has ever even considered splitting up. However, Justin recently admitted that things haven't always been perfect between the two of them and it kind of sounds like he might have used his Titanic date at the Staples Center to save their relationship.
Oddly enough, the Staples Center would resurface again in Justin's life, but in a much less-romantic way - it's where Mariah Yeater claimed that she conceived the Biebs' baby. And now poor Selena Gomez might be anxiously waiting to see if DNA test results prove that her boyfriend is not a dad.
Anyway, during a recent interview, Justin Bieber had this to say about his romantic dinner with Selena at the Staples Center: "She was talking about how she wanted to see Titanic. She hadn't seen it since she was a little girl... We were like fighting a little bit... we ended up being cool and everything was great. I really wanted to take her somewhere special, so I took her to the Staples Center, and we had dinner in the middle of the Staples Center... you gotta treat a woman right." (Via Celebitchy.)
Hmmm...this does kind of make you wonder if Justin is having a hard time holding on to Selena Gomez. Every time things start going south, does he come up with some grand romantic gesture like a trip or renting out a movie theater? Has he been trying to buy Selena's love with gifts? After all, the Biebs' special surprises for Selena might make her feel obligated to be with him - a girl would be a horrible person for breaking up with a boy that's done so much for her, right?
Hopefully Selena Gomez hasn't just been avoiding a breakup because she would feel bad about it, and hopefully Justin Bieber doesn't try to settle all their relationship problems with money. Doing either of these things is not a healthy way to act in a relationship, but it wouldn't be surprising if this is going on - after all, these two are just kids who are still learning the ropes when it comes to relationships.
So what do you think - is a breakup inevitable sometime in the near future, or will Selena and Justin be able to mature together?
