NCIS: Los Angeles continues this week with "The Debt," and Deeks is going to be going through quite a rough time as he gets fired. There's a sneak peek out from the episode showing just that and the aftermath for him and Kensi.
NCIS: LA season 3 episode 10 "The Debt" promo
"A botched assignment forces Hetty to fire Deeks and send him back to the LAPD. Meanwhile, an awkward goodbye between Kensi and Deeks leaves her with unexpected emotions for her old partner."
This is going to be quite the difficult episode for Deeks, and it all follows on one bad decision on his part. In the promo (below), Deeks shoots and kills an unarmed man. This is why he's fired. It doesn't look like Deeks handles it well, as he smashes a car window with a brick. However, the rest of his (former) team is there for him—and to run away from an explosion with him. This show sure loves those explosions.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 3 episode 10 "The Debt" sneak peek
The sneak peek (below) is all about Deeks being fired. Hetty tells Deeks that LAPD cut ties with NCIS, meaning his liaison duties have been discontinued. Kensi asks what that means, and Deeks says he's been fired. The clip then moves on to the awkward goodbye between Deeks and Kensi. She gives the "If you ever need anything..." This isn't easy for either of them. Kensi does have something she has to tell him, and if she doesn't, she might never. Is she going to confess how she feels? Could this be the end of Kensi and Deeks dancing around one another? It doesn't look like it, as he tells her it's not the right time. When she responds, "it is what it is," he has his own response: "and we are what we are." Since he did just get fired, you can understand where he's coming from, but could they pick up this conversation at the end of the episode, or is the moment going to be completely gone?
