2 Broke Girls continues with "And the Very Christmas Thanksgiving." It's the holidays, and while one of them is excited for the holiday, the other isn't. Will that change?
Christmas comes but once a year... and it just did.
Caroline's happy about good tips, but Max warns her that will change when people realize Thanksgiving's coming. Han's excited about decorating for the holiday, and Caroline suggests he open the doors to feed the homeless. He's worried about cost, but Oleg's willing to pay for the turkeys and Earl will bring the pie.
Caroline's happy November's warm for Chestnut's sake and asks Max to teach her how to bake for the holiday season, especially with festive holiday gift baskets. Max doesn't think Caroline's good mood will stay throughout the holidays now that she's poor, but Caroline says the holidays aren't about money. She's also going to get to see her father for the first time because of Thanksgiving. Max tells her to put a towel over the mixer, but when she goes to plug it in, Caroline removes that towel and Max gets splashed.
They go shopping for a new mixer, but they're too expensive. Max tells her she can let her dark side out, but Caroline notices signs that they're hiring elves. She suggests they do it and use the employee discount to buy a mixer. Caroline had to edit Max's application (she put she wanted to work in Santa's sex toy workshop) to get them past the first round and suggests they watch Miracle on 34th Street if they get hired. Mary butts into their conversation with her holiday spirit, and Caroline gets into talking to her. When her father calls, Caroline tells him what she's doing, but her mood quickly goes down when he says he doesn't want her to come see him. They get the jobs and have to report at 3AM on Black Friday.
Caroline's not feeling too good even though they fed the homeless. She's not going to see her father. They have to head over to Santa World, and Max gives her a 9-hour energy drink to help get through it. Caroline drinks it down in one gulp, and Max says she should've sipped it.
2 Broke Girls in Santa World
She really should've, as Caroline begins talking fast. She tells Max she doesn't want to do it anymore, but Max tells her she has no choice. She needs a new pair of tights though because the last woman to wear it had her time of the month. The boss interrupts and tells Max she needs to be Mrs. Claus—for an extra two dollars an hour. Max takes it.
Mary joins Caroline at the front of the line, and now, Caroline can't stand her holiday cheer. When Max joins as Mrs. Claus, Caroline says she's mad at her. She's upset she abandoned her the day after her father did. Max is dealing with a handsy Santa and tells Caroline to cheer up with all the children around. As Max reads a girl's list, Caroline says she had all of those things. Now she has nothing. Caroline wants the kids to know the truth: it's not a wonderful life. She begins saying there's no Santa, but Mary pushes her over before she can.
Back at the apartment, Caroline blames Max for telling her to come to the dark side. Max points out that there are people worse off than her, and Caroline says she is lucky. She shows Max their new mixer: a wooden spoon. They're going to "old school" it with the stolen spoon.
Current total: $621.25
