The Ferret Giving Tree is a place where people can go to choose a ferret who needs a Santa this year. The statistics when I wrote this are:
Ferrets waiting for a Santa = 183
Ferrets with a Santa = 414
Ferrets who crossed the Rainbow Bridge = 9
Ferrets housed in these Shelters = 2678
You don't have to have a ferret to give a donation to a needy ferret this Christmas. My shelter is listed (Hide-E-Hole Ferret Rescue) but most of my ferrets already have Santas. There are many other deserving shelters out there who would like to make Christmas special for their little charges.
You can send the items requested, or you could send a donation (most can take PayPal). Ferrets are pretty easy to please ... polar fleece blankets, sleep sacks and hammocks are enjoyed, as are tubes to run through, treats, Ferretone, food ... all sorts of things.
If you choose a ferret, please follow through on your donation, since that ferret is then marked as having a Santa.
