I got an email from ebay that I thought I would share with other sellers who might not know this information :
For one day only on November 15, 2011 (today) you can list up to 5,000 items for free on ebay when you list them with the auction style listing (not buy it now) but it is only good on auctions listing between 1 day 3 day or 5 days. I always list mine for 7 days so I wont be taking advantage of this. Plus I've been selling my things on facebook instead of bothering with the hassle of ebay.

What I hate is that they do not tell you ahead of time they are going to do this free day, so if you don't have everything already ready to put up, you won't get that many things listed.
You only get 50 free items a month, and I usually have exhausted my free ones by the 15th. So I either have to pay fees to list more or wait for a free day or the next month to start.
They have jacked the fees up so much lately, and with the cost of shipping, ebay fees and paypal fees, I'm hardly making anything and thinking "is this really even worth my time?" But this is the ONLY way I have to make money right now in the situation I'm in.
EBay even recently started charging a FEE that is a % of your postage charges, too!
How long before they start losing a lot of sellers??
I compare it to what happened in Michigan-- the government taxed all the businesses out of the state. There were better moneymaking climates elsewhere so they left the state...
How is what Ebay is doing any different?
sorry... I'll get off the soapbox, guess you could say you hit a nerve with me! LOL.
