What kind of pie...

Since it's just me and my girls for Thanksgiving this year, we realized we can do things differently this year. I don't have to fix the same old things. (In other words, I can eliminate all the things I cooked just because my husband wanted them! :)

We pretty much decided on everything except what desserts to fix. That made me wonder, what kind of pie, or dessert, do you enjoy at Thanksgiving? You never know, you could be the inspiration to help 3 crazy females decide!

There are usually about 15+ people at our thanksgiving so we have a selection of desserts. In previous years we've had Watergate salad(which is literally the easiest dessert ever and infants can make)

Other things we have are: pumpkin pie, pecan pie, chocolate silk pie, and sometimes German chocolate cake.

I like pecan pie at than ksgiving(dont like pumkin) and I like 5 cup salad(ambrosia to most pple other than my mom) I am ussully quite stuffed after stuffing, could eat my moms stuffing all day!

Me too! But, I'll be the first to admit, I've never met a pie I didn't like! I guess that's why I'm having so much trouble deciding.

My daughter likes to make pies on Thanksgiving (or any time really), and I love to eat them! Usually it is pumpkin, cherry, and apple... but ya' never know, ha!

K, I got it, Banana Cream pudding with the pie, that would be tasty with Pumpkin pie.....I don't usually like sweets all that much, but I could go for a slice of pumpkin pie with a little banana pudding on the side, Golden Corral has some, I think I know where I'm going later. LOL

We always have pumpkin. (we all love it) But we usually make at least one other kind. I love Mincemeat, but i am the only one. So, I never get it. :(

My Mother loves mincemeat too. She's having trouble finding it in the stores this year though. She won't go to the trouble to make it from scratch just for her.

My favoiorite is pecan. I have altered the recipe to take out some of the sugar, so it is not so sweet.

we had pecan for Thanksgiving and Christmas. When we lived in Georgia found a bakery that makes the best pecan pie...and they ship also...so I ordered a few for the holidays for us and for a gift for a friend of mine. Nothing better than pecan pie from Georgia :-)

I love Pumpkin pie but I didn't eat any on Thanksgiving or Christmas either one this year...I was just too stuffed from the other foods.
