Tak About WT?????

This is something that drives me totally nuts. I am reading my Gather emails. I am clicking on the articles or pictures and then I see this:

Post Unavailable

You either do not have permission to view this post or it has been removed. If the post is private, you must be signed in for permission to access it.

I am already signed in. I am a member of that specific group. I have permission and the post is still there when I go into the Gather site itself. So, WT???

This has been happening for years to me. I am sure it happens to all of us. I asked about it a few years back and the folks at Gather Help told me that I was probably not a member of the group. Why do I get all their email then??? Why are they in my list of My Groups on My Home Page? Weird.

Wondering how to stop getting these messages. It happens way too often for my blood.

I know what you mean........I get them all the time, as well........this has happened to me for several years so, apparently, it's yet another Gather glitch......I've no idea how to get rid of this.....but it sure is annoying, isn't it?

Yes, it is totally annoying. I am a member of the group, I am friends with the person, so why does it happen? I can understand if you are reading something that is a month old and it isn't there anymore but telling me that I don't have permission is a bit harsh. So aggravating. I wish they would correct that glitch.

It can be but usually I am reading it the day that it was posted. Why would it be deleted?

I've deleted posts when I've had problems with in the editing stage, and had to start all over. Also, a couple that I decided I just didn't like. Then, of course, some posts are deleted by Gather for their objectionable content.

when I do my lets get to know each other and views r us photo goals posts they are deleted when I update the post, and also when I post crowdtap challenges I will delete once I get my goal. If you were to try and view this post after it was deleted you would get the message you are referring too. It took me a while to figure out why I was getting them too.

Thanks for the explanation but I am not in the "Lets Get to Know Eachother" group or the Views R Us group. Maybe it is from the crowdtap challenges but I usually delete those when I see them because I don't do Crowdtap and can't help.

I've tried re-loading and that doesn't help. I guess I'll never get to the end of this.

I haven't gotten any of those messages. I get frustrated with slow page opening and found a post yesterday that suggested if you use Firefox and I do to add NO SCRIPT to the addon's for Firefox. Oh Wow it really works, those nasty ads are gone and the pages open easier but I have to let it know I want to see certain pages and use the option button at the bottom of the page. This is day two with that addon. I'm liking it a lot.

I do use Firefox but it used to happen with Internet Explorer too. So aggravating.

I get them also, so now I just go to the persons page to read their articles.

This happens to me too. I usually just back out and try again. That sometimes works. But not all the time. Weird, huh?

Definitely weird. I hate when I get that message. Why would I be getting the post from a group if I wasn't a member and why would I be getting the post from the person if I wasn't a "friend" of them? When you click on it and it says that you can't see the message it is so frustrating.
