With the cost of living going up, and income staying where it is, or declining, it is very difficult to find ways to save for luxuries like vacation.  My family has come up with a few ways to continue saving for our vacation, and improve our health along the way. A lot of it is coming from what we are saving on Direct TV and our car insurance, so yeah, we're paying for it. And it's really money we would have been saving for vacation anyway-shhh! Don't tell the kids :-)

My husband and I were never able to afford a trip to Disney when the children were young but we would really love to bring our grandsons.

I like your idea of paying for workouts.
