We went to Harrisonburg today. We were supposed to see Puss in Boots but we didn’t get to go. None of had been to the movies in a while, and they had moved the theater, so by the time we realized where it was it was to late to go. But we still had a good day.
We went to Books A Million where I bought five books for me, an eggnog flavored candy bar, and a DVD for my sister. After that ,we went to JC Penney where I bought a sweatshirt for my sister. It was originally over forty dollars, but it was on sale for $22.99. I had a coupon for twenty dollars off from my last trip there, so I only spent around three dollars.
After that, we went to the Library’s book sale. I found a lot of books. I spent sixteen dollars. It was a bargain because I found three Nora Roberts books for $1.50 each. They were online the other day for eleven dollars each, so I saved almost thirty dollars on them. They were part of a series, and I couldn’t find the fourth book at the sale, so I went ahead and ordered it on Amazon for a penny. With shipping, that’s only four dollars, so basically I got three of the books for free. I had never been to one of the library’s book sales before, so I’m glad I got to go today. We ate lunch at Chick-fil-A. I had their chicken nuggets meal. I love their food. It beats McDonalds any day. Finally, we bought groceries at Martin’s.
I also got to drive to the grocery store. I asked Dad if I could drive just until we got to the store, and then we could change places, and he could drive the rest of the way, since I’m not ready for city traffic yet. He said I’m driving a lot better, so I’m really happy about that, too. I had a great day.
