Genre Shorties Prompt Week 22:
This week's genre is Romance.
Your story may be serious or light hearted or as silly as you like
just so long as it is 100 words or less
Prompt = Valentine's day is fast approaching and it's time for
those love stories. I don't want to make it too easy though so
choose one of the following locations for the setting of your story:
A cafe in Venice / A Vail ski lodge / A veterinarian's office /
A Virginia beach / A vacant lot
and use one or more of the following words in your story:
velvet, violins, vampire, vodka, valentine, Velcro
“Another stupid vampire movie. GAH!”
I turned my head towards the frustrated voice.
I don’t need to hear violins, when I am attracted to someone.
I smiled and offered a friendly velvet toned interjection.
“Hollywood doesn’t seem to know when to quit do they?”
She looked a little embarrassed at having been caught, or was it
the red from the valentine hanging in the vet’s window?
“Sorry. You too?”
I never make assumptions, but our eyes where like Velcro.
“I know a place that makes a mean vodka martini.”
“Sure” she said, “but shouldn’t we finish with our pets first?”
