Pippa Middleton attended an annual gala this weekend that sister Kate is usually front and center for or at least she has been. But that was in prior years and that was also before she married Prince William, whereupon her life became oh-so-tricky.
The occasion in question was the Boodles Boxing Ball for charity, held in Central London, and the place where Pippa Middleton was seen having a jolly good time. But Kate was absent, most likely because although this is a worthy event, it is not a royal event. And those are the only events this Princess seems to be part of these days.
Still, Pippa Middleton missed her sister. She is said to have "wished Kate could be [at the Boodles Boxing Ball] but that it's just too complicated," this according to one of the guests who talked to one particular source.
Although not present this year, apparently, Kate Middleton was at the same ball just two years ago. But, as the source continued, she "couldn't attend now as watching a boxing match might not be befitting of her Royal role. Pippa said Kate knows she'll probably never be able to attend a night out like Boodles again."
While this is sad, for the Duchess of Cambridge as well as for her sister, Pippa Middleton, this is what Kate took on when she signed up to be married to the future King of England. Or did this Middleton sister simply not realize how tough a job being William's wife would be?
In any case, the relationship certainly hasn't hurt Pippa. And so as this Middleton sibling joked around at the ball, her sister Kate was left behind. Sounds like a Cinderella story in reverse, doesn't it?
