It's hard to say what a teenager will do when an opportunity to do something they love appears. Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, recently got a recruitment offer from the Lingerie Football League as their youth program spokesperson.
Paris Jackson gets offer from Lingerie Football League to endorse youth program
Most people who know the name Jackson always associate it with the iconic Michael Jackson who built an unmatched music career spanning three decades. With such talent and charisma in the bloodline one might think it was an easy choice for the children of MJ to follow in his footsteps. That is not the case for his 13-year-old daughter Paris Jackson. Outside of her father's death, Paris made headlines when she stated she wanted to play football. No one thought she was that serious until she surprised friends and family by becoming the first girl in the history of her private school to join the football team.
Such determination would've made her father proud. The news didn't end there though. Days later Paris got a surprise invitation in the mail. The Lingerie Football League, an organization of teams in which women play tackle football in lingerie and shoulder pads, asked the young Jackson to speak for the league's youth program. Their hope is obviously for some notoriety but also to help young women like Paris to further their football aspirations as players.
The league itself already has twelve existing franchises with a planned expansion of ten more around the U.S. In fact her own city, Los Angeles, features an LFL team named the Temptation. They were league champions last season and featured famous NFL former players for coaches such as Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson and Super Bowl champion Jim McMahon.
Love of football rooted in Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson Super Bowl shows
Paris Jackson loving the sport of football can't come as a surprise to anyone who knows the history of the family. Michael made history in 1993 when he actually increased audience viewing during his Super Bowl XXVII halftime show. Janet Jackson made an even bigger splash at Super Bowl XXXVIII when her own halftime show with Justin Timberlake resulted in a famous wardrobe malfunction on national television. Paris Jackson grew up around football and her love of it shouldn't come as a surprise to those wondering why.
Paris hasn't accepted or declined the Lingerie Football League invitation yet. News sources await that decision with eager anticipation.
