Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have had a bit of a rough go of it lately with divorce rumors flying and reports of major problems in their relationship. And it has only been about two short months since their fairytale wedding! But despite the buzz (probably unfounded) of an impending Kardashian and Humphries split, the couple still packed on the PDA for her 31st birthday party in Las Vegas on Saturday night. And a few comments made by Kim that night about her and Kris' living conditions might just explain the perceived trouble in paradise.
Cameras were apparently rolling during the birthday celebration, hosted at Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan, no doubt shooting some final footage for E!'s reality TV show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which also wrapped on Saturday. Khloe Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom, along with mom Kris Jenner, joined the birthday girl and her hubby in Sin City to blow out the candles on her big 31. Still, the night wasn't all cake and happiness, as K.K. was reportedly booed by the Marquee crowd when the club announced her special day.
No wonder Kim Kardashian (and no doubt Kris Humphries) were more than ready to return to Los Angeles, where they headed directly after their Vegas adventure, according to People. K.K. revealed, "I just can't wait to get home... We have to find our home base." For the past couple of months, the couple has been homeless, so to speak, while filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York. They've been shacking up with Kim Kardashian's sister Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott Disick and their son, Mason, at their NYC pad, which is none too large for these mega personalities and their standard mega homes.
"Just imagine we were in this three-bedroom suite with my sister, her boyfriend, the baby, and every morning the baby is playing outside our door and wakes us up early," Kim Kardashian lamented. Given these strained living conditions, it seems likely that any measure of rumored tension or problems between the newlyweds could be a direct result of their stressful home-sharing situation. It's enough to make anyone, a Kardashian or otherwise, a bit crazy!
Now that the NYC leg of their reality TV show taping is over (for now, at least), hopefully Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will leave any potential problems in the Big Apple and settle back into the comfort of newlywed bliss and Los Angeles life—that is, until Humphries' NBA career takes him elsewhere.
