Nikki Reed's exquisite wedding dress dripped with diamonds on Sunday, as she married Paul McDonald is a private-but-elegant ceremony in Malibu. The Breaking Dawn star's gorgeous gown was custom-made by Tacori—a bridal house which also designed and made the wedding and engagement rings, reports Hollywood Life.
Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Cullen in the Twilight Saga, walked down the aisle in a classic, 40s look, with ivory silk in a form-fitting silhouette. The six-foot train set off the dress, which sparkled with glittering diamonds. One hundred guests shared the intimate setting, on a ranch in Malibu.
Michelle Adorjan worked with Nikki Reed on the gown, which was more clean and classic than it sounds. "It's extremely simple," Michelle said. "The glamorous details are what Tacori brings to it." And the most unique detailing can be found down the back of the dress, in the form of 100 diamond buttons! "Instead of a traditional, silk wrap button, we did diamond buttons!" Michelle said in an interview. "A little over 100 carats just on the buttons! But it's simple and beautiful."
Paul McDonald is a singer-songwriter from Alabama and a former contestant on American Idol. Nikki Reed, who had small roles in all the first Twilight films, has a much stronger part in Breaking Dawn, Part 1, which premieres next month.
